It was a beautiful day here in Topeka. Hope yours was a good one also.
Well, we had ourselves a good ole Mississippi style downpour today in Colorado. We can get tornadoes here but they are rare and there isn't a warning system like in the south. It was pretty exciting for about 30 minutes.
Went to a training area near Pueblo called Pinion Canyon. Everyone claimed they have never had a tornado there but the entire 69th Infantry Brigade saw one come down and almost blow the Division headquarters away. It did wipe out the tents at the State Headquarters. Never say never or always. MUD
Our daughter goes to a college 2 1/2 hours north of us and last year a tornado just about wiped out the next town. We live along the front range of the Rockies so we've got the mountains rising up to the west and can practically see Kansas to the east.
