Yesterday I got to fire up the grill and cook some chicken and steaks. That is always the first sign of the weather turning off for the good. Building in the country in the middle of a hickory grove didn't hurt us either. I have a great supply of some of God's gift to the griller. Our Hickory trees give me a great addition to the smell and taste of meats..
This AM I went out to get the paper and it is already in the 40's with the 60's predicted for this afternoon. I'll spend today and tomorrow subbing for one of the teachers at Barb's school. I love the little kids and will work us both equally hard. Better get my act together. Have a great week.

very jealous of your hickory trees and grilling time! it's cold and windy in DC this week... the big Nor'easter is still passing through...
ReplyDeleteI love spring too and welcome it, but I was wondering if anyone else noticed that every year around this time something wierd seems to happen like the V Tech shooting, Columbine Shooting, OKC bombing, etc. Is it just me?
ReplyDeleteThe warm weather is finally starting to approach us as well and thank goodness because I have been feeling VERY seasonally affected*L* Although it's kind of funny that you say you broke out your BBQ. Here in Canada, we BBQ all year round*L*
ReplyDeleteHickory, yum! Not the chicken or steak part though.:-)Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteSomeone told me that there are two seasons in Canada. Snow and road repair season. If you didn't BBQ in the winter your season would be so short that it would be cheaper to just buy BBQ. NUD
